30's Reproduction Tumbler Quilt

Have I already said that I love how the colors blend from one to the next...

The quilt sandwich is pinned and the stitching has commenced... I chose Lots of Dots by Karen Stephens for the backing.

This is my sewing buddy, Artemis, as soon as I get out of my chair he is in it.  Even if I get up for 30 seconds, when I turn around he will be there.

Don't let the sweet face fool you.  You can't see that his tail is twitching, which in kitty language means "you're annoying me."

Have a great Day!
Candace

  3. I just found your blog through So Many Ways...and being a new blogger, you are doing such a great job! You must have a better camera than I do. Your photos are so nice! I have a daughter that lives in Texas, so we are down your way quite often. LOVE the beach also, as I grew up on the Oregon Coast (but quite different from your warm gulf coastal waters). My passion is quilting also, so it will be fun getting to know you through the world of blogging. Your quilts are very beautiful.

    1. Thank you very much! I am glad you are enjoying the blog and my quilts. My little camera is a nice one, but nothing too fancy. It is a Canon Powershot SX110 IS. The only problem I have is that the camera's stabilizer only works when the flash is on. I need shots with natural light and it doesn't work with that. So I have to really focus on being still, because I have shaky hands! :) I need to go back and read my camera manuel again. Ok, this comment is getting a little long. I have been to the Oregon Coast when I was little and it was beautiful! Yes, different from the warm Gulf Coast, but still lovely. Thanks for visiting!

  6. Your tumblers are beautiful. I recently purchased a tumbler template but haven't been brave enough to try it yet. Have a nice weekend!

    1. You should give it a try. It really is simple. You could even make a mini quilt for practice before you make a larger quilt. Good Luck!
