How is your weekend going? We are relaxing at home listening to the rain. We have been getting a lot in the past week, but have been under serious drought conditions since the beginning of last year. Needless to say, the rain is very welcome!
Here are a few sewing updates before the start of a new week and new projects.
My gift for my grandmother is packaged and is in the hands of the postal service.
She loves soft blues, so I tied it with a pretty blue ribbon. I love ribbons about as much as I love quilts!
I had to take a short detour from my Half Moon Modern quilt to work on a short project. My 4 year old son wanted some pillows out of Lightning McQueen colors, but I couldn't use anything other than red and white. I could not use Lightning McQueen fabric and orange and yellow were not allowed (Lightning is red with a little orange and yellow)...these were all his instructions. His favorite colors are red and green, so he chose green for the back. What can I say he has a process and he knows what he wants!
These are almost complete and I will show you an update tomorrow. The green fabric is in the washer as we speak. It is a very vibrant bright green that tends to run so I threw it in the washer.
One more quick update. My husband sent this picture to me of his desk at work. He loves the coaster I made for him. Glad it was a hit. Of course I didn't feel any pressure making something for my husband (implied sarcasm).

I digress...what projects are you planning for the week?
Happy Sewing!
