Ok, I am sure you are wondering, "what about us?" I am going to have to take a break from the blog for about 2 or 3 months. My to do list just went through the roof, so there will be little time for sewing. There are so many things I need to do to get this house ready to sell and then everything that is involved in finding a new house and moving and still managing to enjoy and celebrate Christmas with my family.
I will post updates from time to time, but it will be more moving related rather than sewing related. If you follow me on twitter @SaltwaterQuilts, I will tweet updates and pictures. I have finally upgraded to a smart phone and now can take pictures and share them on twitter. My younger sisters were getting a kick out of watching me figure out how to use the thing. I made the mistake of asking if I could check my email on it and they lost it. I didn't know I was so entertaining.
My Etsy shop is going to stay open and I am still going to regularly check my email. Please feel free to email me... and yes, I am still going to QuiltCon. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

I am also going to spend some time hand quilting. I have two quilts I am hand quilting that have been put on the back burner to work on all my other projects. One is for my husband (below) and the other is for my son (John Deere quilt). Maybe over the course of the next couple of months, I can make some real progress with them to share with you later.
Thank you for being patient with me during this time of change!
Candace

ReplyDeleteOh Candace, that is exciting and I can understand the terrifying part, too. I shall miss your sewing posts, but will enjoy keeping up with you on Twitter. Good luck with everything, I hope it all goes well. I am asking for a smart phone for Christmas. My kids have iPhones and think that it is pretty entertaining that I don't know how to use them!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Oklahoma! Will you be near the OKC area?
ReplyDeleteGood luck and you'll be missed! I know what it's like to be away from family. Mine is back east and I've been on the west coast for 23 years. But you will talk on the phone CONSTANTLY. And you won't be that far away - over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go!
ReplyDeleteGreat news Candace. Happy Christmas and New Year. I look forward to more of your lovely blog when you get back to it.
ReplyDeleteWe have great quilt shops in Oklahoma. Where in OK will you be?
