Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton: Magenta, Bright Pink, Red, Kumquat, Kiwi, Peacock, Pacific

When I ordered these, my Kona cotton card came in mighty handy. Even with the card it took me awhile to make up my mind on which particular colors I wanted to use.
Half square triangles and lots of trimming to get them to just the right size. These are 6.5" squares and I am going to sew them together to make 12" blocks.
I am sure you noticed that a stripe print snuck in there. It is a Robert Kaufman yellow stripe and I am in love with it. Yes, I know, I say that a lot!
When I first saw the yellow stripe, the idea for this umbrella based project came to me. I knew I wanted to use it with all solids. So I purchased 2 yards and quickly used that up with my Rose Quilt. The next time I ordered 6 yards because I have a lot of plans for it.
I won't be able to share the results of this project for a couple of months, but will share it eventually. I can however, give you a little glimpse of some of the finished blocks...
