Scrappy Happy Baby Quilt

Some friends of ours just recently welcomed a beautiful little baby into their home. So of course I had to make a quilt for the little one and I really wanted to make a scrappy quilt with half square triangles.
The nursery colors are yellow, turquoise, pink and orange.

I picked fabrics that consisted of simple geometric designs, flowers, and fun designs such as pinwheels, birds, and bikes.

I love making scrappy quilts with lots and lots of different fabrics and I have an obsession with triangles.

For the back of the quilt I chose this stripe that I found at Ikea a few years ago.

I also used this fabric as part of the backing for an I Spy quilt that I made last year. You can view the quilt and the back here:

Here is the back of the I Spy quilt (which I LOVE)...

Stay tuned for more...

Happy Sewing!
